Making More Space for You
To my wonderful community here at Docs Lounge,
I want to start by saying thank you. Having you read my words and engage with this space means the world to me. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just joined recently, I truly value the time you spend in your inbox with me.
Lately, I’ve been doing some reflecting on what it means to be a “good guest” in your digital home. Right now, I’m posting six times a week, and while I love the rhythm of creating, I’ve realized that six emails a week is a lot to ask of anyone. Personally, I know that if my own inbox were that crowded, I’d eventually start to lose the thread. I’d worry about missing the point of a specific piece, or worse, I’d start to feel like those emails were a “to-do” rather than a moment of connection.
I never want Docs Lounge to feel like “too much.” I want this to be a place of clarity and insight, not clutter.
With that in mind, I’m making a change to how I reach you.
Starting next week, I am going to protect your inbox by sending only one email per week, arriving every Monday morning. This email will feature one specific article to kick off your week.
What isn’t changing: I’m going to keep sharing content on the site at the same frequency. If you enjoy the daily rhythm, you can still visit docslounge.substack.com throughout the week to see everything new. But as far as your email goes, you’ll only hear from me once.
My hope is that this shift makes our connection more meaningful. I want you to look forward to that Monday morning note, knowing it was chosen specifically for you, and knowing that the rest of your week is your own.
Thank you for being part of this journey and for allowing me a small space in your life. I’m looking forward to this new chapter together.
Warmly,
Jacob
